If you get lucky and end up with a dorm room to yourself, which might happen fairly often since the hostel doesn’t seem to have many visitors, it’s better than a hotel. You get your own balcony overlooking Nagai Park and a really nice common bath. There are no towels, and breakfast or dinner is only available if you reserve well ahead.

I spent about three weeks at this Youth Hostel while I was in Osaka, back in Jan 2008. I adored the place. The hostel itself was quaint and comfortable, the area was amazing, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I’d have written this sooner, but only just found the time. I plan to visit again the next time I’m back in Japan. Kindest regards, Gordon M ^_^ ..

The bathrooms are beautiful and Japanese-style, and the hostel itself was clean and cheap. The staff were really nice, too.

Good facilities and really friendly people. Just right if all you need is somewhere to crash.
