Finding the hotel was the hard part. There’s signage on the door and nearby, but one-way streets, pedestrian-only areas and train tracks blocking routes in different directions make it tough to reach. Google Maps helped. Once there, the room was clean and comfortable, with a pleasantly cool temperature, a safe and a fridge. It worked perfectly for my solo night right at the Shinkansen Station. Couples might want to consider the Courtyard on the other side of the station.

You can ask the front desk for daily housekeeping when you check in, and let them know if you don’t want the sheets changed every day. There’s no sign or note in the room to leave instructions for the cleaner. The room is the same size whether you choose a single or double bed, though the double is 10 cm wider. It’s next to the highway and Shin Osaka station, a few stops from Umeda and about 30 minutes from Namba. They lend out a free dehumidifier. Coffee and tea bags are in the room, with free coffee on the reception floor. Bath ropes, combs, cotton pads and other items are provided too.

The room is the usual small size for a Japanese hotel. My video shows a 28 inch suitcase opened for comparison. There’s a water dispenser near the room, and I could hear a little train noise in the hallway, though not inside the room. From the Shin-Osaka station platform, take the stairs down to exit 7, since there’s no elevator or lift there, then walk under 200 meters to the hotel. Going from the hotel to the JR station, there is an elevator. Thank you, it was a very nice hotel.

Check-in and check-out were both easy, with no issues. It’s a very handy place to stay if you need to catch an early Shinkansen. The room was just as nice as the one I had at Swissotel Namba, but cost a quarter as much.

You’re right by the M line, less than a minute from the front door to M line Exit 7, and close to Shin-Osaka too. It’s easy to get to Osaka spots like Dotonbori, Shinsekai, the airport and the aquarium. The price was great, and the rooms were comfy. Even with trains so close and planes passing overhead every few minutes, we couldn’t hear anything. The soundproofing was surprisingly good.
