I was in Furukawa to visit my supplier. The train ride takes almost two hours using the Shinkansen. I paid 18900 ¥ for three nights with breakfast, which was very economical, and the hotel is downtown, just a five-minute walk from the station. The room was so small you could hardly move around, and the washroom was tiny with only one bath towel. There was no iron or ironing board. For continental breakfast, the only options were croissant and bread; everything else was traditional Japanese breakfast. It was fair overall, but I’d choose a different hotel if I visited again.

I’ve stayed at this hotel several times and usually find the reception warm, the location good, and the rooms nice. On this trip I was on the eleven floors, and there was a little noise late at night. I couldn’t work out whether it was a fan or air conditioner.

It’s very close to the station, with a conbini, Daiso, supermarkets, and other places just a short walk away. A lovely business hotel with good service and a pretty decent breakfast. I’d stay again.
