Guesthouse Oasis Annex (Oshima)

This was my 21st trip to the Izu Islands, and I was really impressed to find a place like this in Motomachi. The design, location, and the way everything was set up were all fantastic. The one thing that could have been better was the fridge. A regular-sized one would have helped, since this one couldn't fit food for everyone.

There’s a real connection to nature here, and the traditional guesthouse feel is quite charming. It was also clean, so I’d recommend it to women too. The inn is close to the port, with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The shampoo and body soap supplied as amenities were quite expensive, which made them feel like a good deal. I’d definitely stay here again on a future visit to Oshima.

There’s plenty to do indoors, with games and board games, and the amenities show that they’ve thought about their guests. The place has a lovely old-fashioned atmosphere that suits the island perfectly. Its convenient spot near Motomachi Port makes getting around easy, and there are lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. I’d definitely come back when I visit Oshima again.

The public bath nearby was handy, and the location worked well for me. The place was very clean and I felt safe staying there. I’ll definitely use it again when I’m back in Oshima.
