Resort villa miko

I left my charger behind and called the hotel to ask about it. The staff kindly mailed it to me by letter pack instead of making me pay cash on delivery. They were very kind, and I'd definitely stay with them again.

I had pictured this place as wonderful, and it was every bit as good as I expected, maybe better. My camera skills only captured about a tenth of its beauty. There wasn't anything inconvenient or uncomfortable about my stay, and the hospitality really suited a resort villa. The price is a little high for a guesthouse-style place, but once you visit and experience it, the value makes sense. For my drip coffee, I would've liked sugar and creamer, though. Sorry, I can't drink it black! There isn't a better place to enjoy the easy pace of island time. I'll definitely come back.

Four of us stayed for two nights, and the place was so comfortable that I haven't found anywhere like it on my several trips to Izu Oshima. The ocean view was great, and the living room and bedroom both had plenty of space. Everything from the interior to the towels and amenities felt thoughtfully chosen, making the stay feel luxurious. We ate out the first night and cooked the next, and there was plenty of cookware and tableware for us. We also tried the recommended izakaya "Ichimatsu." The interior was lovely and all the food was delicious. We'd like to return when the weather gets warmer.

The rooms and location were fantastic. When the weather cooperates, you can stargaze from the terrace at night, which I highly recommend. I managed to stay twice this year despite the COVID-19 situation. Resort Miko is easily the best place in the Izu Islands. You'll see why when you visit.
