Hotel Nasu Ohtawara Hills

The breakfast room was so quiet that it was hard to have a conversation. A TV or some background music might help. The price was incredibly low, and although the facilities are a bit dated, the rooms were clean and comfortable. I got the impression that the foreign women working there were trying very hard.

The room had a nice amount of space compared with a business hotel, and the first-floor lobby has a stylish, old-fashioned feel. The small in-room bath may not be popular with women, I think, though male guests can use the large public bath. At that bath, the door between the bathing area and changing room seemed broken, with a curtain hung in its place, and the changing room was extremely humid.

Breakfast was included, and the room was very clean.

I was here for work, and the rooms were neat, but the thin walls let through everything from next door. The large bath and breakfast both had very short hours, which made them awkward to use if your timing was a little different. The parking lot was small, and the sign said staff would direct guests to nearby parking if it filled up. But no one was at reception outside check-in and check-out, even during reception hours, so I had no idea where to go. Maybe it was to save on labor costs, but I felt the hotel was poorly maintained in every way.
