We had an unexpected problem before arriving, and the owner jumped in right away to help sort it out. I really appreciated that care and the help they gave without expecting anything. I'll stay here again next time I'm in Japan. The hotel itself is peaceful and spotless, with lovely lake views. The owners were cheerful, friendly, helpful, and spoke excellent English. Our family run stay felt warm and relaxing, and the sukiyaki dinner was delicious. Don't miss it.
The shared shower room also has a hot bath, and parking was included with our stay. The staff were kind and spoke English very well. It's a cozy hotel right beside Lake Biwa. We didn't add breakfast or dinner this time. If you're driving, there are places to eat about five minutes away, including kurazushi, yakiniku, and convenience stores.
The bathrooms and toilets aren't private, though they were very clean. The setting felt warm, comfortable, and cozy, with Biwa lake right outside. Getting there isn't easy, but driving is no problem, and guests can park for free. It's a friendly family business, and the boss speaks English and was very polite. Guests can use the free bicycles for sightseeing, or try BBQ and water activities just outside the hotel.
The best part is being right on the water, next to a nice beach. It's a great little ryokan by Ohashi Bridge, with friendly staff and good amenities. Food, shopping, and convenience stores are easy to reach.
Beautiful beach nearby, and the staff were really nice and helpful.
