Aomori Royal Hotel

We only stayed one night, but choosing this hotel was the right call. Our triple room was spacious, clean and cozy, and the quiet location just off the main road was exactly what we wanted. There’s a golf course beside the hotel and a small farm where visitors can feed and pet the lovely goats. The staff really stood out for their warmth and helpfulness. Japan’s service is usually a cut above, but we found the people in Akita especially welcoming and attentive to their guests. We’re very grateful for the hospitality. Thank you!

The staff were so friendly and looked after my family and me throughout our winter break. They even helped me search for my missing wallet, though I eventually found it in a jacket pocket at the last minute 🤦‍♀️. I really appreciated their effort 🙏. It’s such a quiet, cozy and comfortable place to stay in winter. I’d happily recommend it for a winter holiday 😊.

The front desk gentleman, Mr. Hsiao Fu-De, was especially helpful. He speaks both Japanese and Chinese, which makes a big difference if you don’t speak Japanese. The rooms are lovely, the dining and food were great, and the service was excellent. I’d recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Dinner was traditional, and each dish looked beautiful, full of Japanese artistry. We really enjoyed exploring them one by one.
