Family Lodge Hatagoya Oyabe

We had a relaxed few days of sightseeing around Toyama, and could even see the Tateyama mountain range from the inn. There are plenty of useful places nearby, from outlet malls and supermarkets to hot springs, ramen shops, and roadside rest areas. The price is low and the rooms are clean, so I like staying here depending on where we're headed. It's not a dog-friendly hotel, though, so there are some limits if you're traveling with a dog.

A handy place to use as a base for a trip, though it has the plain feel of a motel rather than a resort, and sound carries easily. Bring your own toothbrush, slippers, and other amenities since they're charged for. There's a refrigerator in the room, and a paid washing machine at the end of the hall.

I've stayed at Hatagoya many times, but this was my first time at this location. It's convenient for people coming from farther away, with Kanazawa and the highway close by. Outlet facilities, supermarkets, and hot springs are nearby too. I brought my dogs along again, and was glad to get a stay in before the accommodation fees go up in August.

If you're looking near Isurugi Station, this is the only place to stay. Hachiban Ramen is right next door, and there's also an outlet and a large public bath nearby.
