I really liked the view, and being able to fish as soon as you step out of your room is a big draw if you're into fishing. The kitchen has plenty of space and ice, so you can eat your catch or keep it chilled for later. Inside, everything was clean and comfortable, with a stylish feel and the amenities we needed. Just keep in mind that every room has bunk beds, which may not suit older guests or small kids. Great for a trip with friends, and I'd happily come back.
We came from Fukuoka for our third visit this year! 😆 The rooms are getting renovated next year, and I'm really looking forward to seeing them. We had another good catch today, and it's so handy being able to clean and prepare the fish before heading home. 💕 My son keeps improving at fishing with help from the owner's husband, who's practically a fishing expert (lol). His wife is cheerful and funny too. When the weather's nice, I'd love to bring my parents and relatives and go fishing together as a family on the boat. ☺️
Caught a big sea bass in the rain on my first visit. The terrace in the detached building was fantastic too. There's also a private sauna and an oxygen capsule.
The view was the first thing that really got me when we arrived. The owner was also so kind and patient, showing us how to fish and even joining us when we weren't catching anything. My husband and I came with our best friend and his wife, booked four rooms, and had a nice, relaxed time. This place is mainly set up for fishing and barbecues, so that's the right expectation to have. You can rent a fishing rod for 1,000 yen each. For 500 yen per person, they provide charcoal, tongs, and help getting the fire started. Barbecues run until 9:00 PM, and you can fish later, but there are lots of homes behind the building, so keep the noise down. It would be a shame to cause trouble for such a lovely place with reasonable prices. The rooms are small but clean. The beds are big enough for two adults to share one futon, and the mattress was comfortable, so I slept well. Each room has a hair dryer and large, soft bath and face towels. There aren't mirrors in the rooms, so women may want to bring a standing mirror. The shower room has a stylish, modern look, including a shower that comes down from the ceiling, which I'd never seen before. The large restaurant-style fridge held lots of chilled drinks, and I was surprised there was an automatic crushed-ice maker too. You can use the ice for drinks, and I was glad I didn't have to buy any to take the fish home. There were plenty of plates and chopsticks. If you want to avoid washing dishes, bring paper plates. The woman who answered the phone was incredibly nice. This is definitely somewhere we'll visit again. I've tried to include the details that might help anyone thinking of staying, and I recommend it. Just follow the rules and enjoy yourselves!
I've stayed here several times, and I always sleep well in the comfortable bunk beds, maybe because fishing wears me out. It's a guesthouse, but the showers and shared areas are clean and comfortable. The men's and women's toilets are separate, and there are two shower rooms, which feels reassuring for women and families with children. Being able to fish from the terrace is a real plus for a total beginner like me. I've caught sea bass, horse mackerel, and rockfish here, and my companion caught a flounder this time. Sea bass seem to be the most common catch, though that may depend on your technique and skill. I've also watched squid swimming around and rays passing through. I can't catch them yet, but it's fun to see them. The view is lovely, and there's plenty to enjoy even if you're not fishing. You could catch some of the many crabs around, take photos of Bridge No. 1, or have a barbecue. Before my first visit, I expected simpler facilities because it was a guesthouse, so I was pleasantly surprised.
