Sunrise Hotel

The tub itself was fine, an old-fashioned unit bath with a mixer tap, but the slimy feel of the water wasn’t for me. I’d heard good things about the bathroom in reviews, so I had high hopes. There also aren’t any convenience stores nearby, which was frustrating when I got a little hungry and couldn’t find a way to satisfy it. Still, the front desk staff were very polite and made a great impression. The room was spacious for a business hotel, and I was impressed by their energy-saving efforts. I stayed because my usual hotel was unavailable for a business trip, and I wouldn’t call this place bad. I came away with more good impressions than bad, so I’d stay again if I got the chance. Everyone has different preferences, of course.

The room got unbearably hot because the air conditioning was centrally controlled and set to heating even when the weather felt warm. I sweated and couldn’t sleep well. At breakfast I overheard a group saying they’d tried opening the windows to sleep, but couldn’t, and were also sleep deprived. I probably wouldn’t stay here in spring or autumn. If each room had its own air conditioning controls, this would definitely be a five-star hotel. The front desk service, breakfast, and bath water were all five stars.

The building is certainly old, but the staff are kind and make you feel reassured. It’s a nice, homey place to stay.

I came by bicycle, and the receptionists who welcomed me were all so kind that I felt at ease. For a room at this price, I have no complaints!
