The place has a pretty ordinary atmosphere, but it does the job as a bathhouse for people living nearby. The food was a little bland, though still not bad. Locals gather here and have parties on weekends.

The water was nice and hot, and there’s a sauna too. I used the day spa, where shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided. Thanks for reading. Hope this gives you ideas for trying some tasty food and finding good places. Likes are a big encouragement! ☺️

I came mainly to enjoy an affordable natural hot spring in central Sabae City. The water felt smooth and refreshing, and the inside is fairly clean, much nicer than the exterior makes it look. It seems to be a place the locals love. I’d stayed away because the outside looked so Showa-era. Maybe late October was the wrong time to visit, because the water felt a little lukewarm. The sauna was nice, but I missed having an outdoor bath or anywhere to relax, which was disappointing. If you’re driving from a bit farther out, there are other nice day-trip hot springs, so one of those may suit you better.

The bed futon was really fluffy and clean, and I slept soundly for five hours. The washbasin was probably the best part, with plenty of water coming out automatically. The bath felt like a public bath, but there’s a sauna, and the large bath has barrier-free access. The jet hit just the right spot on my back. I bought a mikan from the lobby; it was fairly sweet. It was a quiet stay.

Everything was kept clean and seemed to be continually renovated, from the rooms and meals to the baths and toilets. I’d expected some drop in quality because the price was low, but it turned out to be a big hit and very comfortable. The front desk and other staff were all very polite, and breakfast is well worth recommending. I stayed here while traveling in Fukui. I spent most of my time in Fukui City and chose this lodging because it was inexpensive.
