Garden Terrace Saga Hotels & Resorts

I loved having a private balcony overlooking the swimming pool, and drinking water was always available. The bed was large, the TV was good, and the hotel had nice amenities. It's quiet and very clean, and the receptionists were patient and helpful. They don't speak English, but they made an effort to communicate using a translator. It's about seven minutes by taxi from the train station. My only issue was the breakfast price, €25. In France, I'd pay €20 maximum at a hotel of the same level.

The lounge could use a better food selection. While we were there, it was almost empty apart from a few crackers. Some hot food would be welcome. The drinks selection was decent, with good wine and some sake, though the sake wasn't chilled. A bench with free weights in the gym would also be a good addition. We had a good stay and would love to return in a heartbeat. The hotel in Saga city is beautiful and close to lots of restaurants. Our family of four stayed in a huge deluxe jacuzzi suite, though it was a bit too cold to use the outdoor area at night. The room came with two double beds and complimentary bar drinks. It cost about JPY46000 per night. The staff were extremely helpful, and breakfast was superb, with quality food cooked and served teppanyaki style.

The staff were sincere and helpful, and did their best to assist us even though we don't speak the same language. They promptly arranged taxis and helped with our baggage. Before our flight, they packed us a very substantial breakfast. The rooms were comfortable, and the lounge had free-flow drinks and snacks. I'd definitely stay here again if I come back to Saga.

There is plenty of free parking, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and the facilities are good. I'd highly recommend staying here.
