Saijo Central Hotel

Not very clean: there were hairs in the bathtub when I arrived, and during my three-night stay the room wasn’t cleaned or even had its trash emptied. The walls are thin too, so I could hear my neighbor talking and snoring. The location is handy, only three minutes from the station. It works well if you’re heading to climb Ishizushi mount, since the bus leaves from Iyo Saijo statio. There’s a fridge and microwave guests can use.

For such a low price, it’s good value, though this retro hotel is quite different from a regular one. You even have to fetch tissues from the hallway yourself, lol, and hair dryers can only be borrowed until 9 pm. I could hear old karaoke hits from a nearby snack bar, which added to the nostalgic feel.

The rooms are roomy and the individual air conditioning worked well. There’s parking right in front of the entrance for 500 yen. The shower pressure is weak, and the rooms have no tissues, refrigerator, or washlet.

For such a reasonable price, the room was clean and had a shower toilet, so I was really satisfied. A shared refrigerator is in the hallway. My room had a slight cigarette smell, but it wasn’t too bad. You can borrow kettles and hair dryers at reception. It was a big help at that price, and I’ll definitely stay again. ☺🛌
