Getting around Sapporo was easy since the hostel is near Susukino Station. I also felt very safe here as a woman traveling alone, which isn't always easy to find in an affordable hostel. There are separate areas for women and men, and that made a big difference for me. The staff were kind and helpful, especially when I checked in. Everything was well maintained and complete, with separate showers and toilets, plus shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Sapporo on their own, especially women. I really enjoyed staying here and would come back ☺️☺️.

My first time in a capsule, and I was more than satisfied. There were about 7-8 women in the sleeping area, but it was really quiet. The shared lounge was nice too, and towels and toiletries were supplied.

The main annoyance was the layout. There wasn't room for my bags by the bed, and although the lockers outside the room were large, I had to keep going out to get things. When I wanted to sort through my luggage, the floor was the only place to put everything. The staff were very helpful and stored my bags both before and after my stay. The place was clean and had lots of amenities, so I liked it overall apart from that storage hassle.

The woman at the front desk understood the problem and moved me to a lower floor, where it was a bit cooler. The location is great, but I barely slept because the room felt unbearably hot. The air conditioning seemed to be set for everyone, so I couldn't really adjust it. I even bought a mini fan, but it didn't help much. I don't understand why hotels heat rooms like a sauna just because it's freezing outside. Please lower the temperature, nobody wants to sleep like that. The pillow was awful too. It felt like a rock, made of beanbag material, so I went out and bought one from a 100 yen shop.

My only real complaint is that the capsule was too warm, as a few other guests have already said. They should adjust the temperature. Still, I rarely give five stars across the board, and this capsule hotel earned them. The capsule was spotless, with good light and enough space even for someone 6'4". It had an electrical outlet and an emergency torch inside. The shared toilets, wash areas, lounges, and shower floor were always tidy, free of dust and water marks, and didn't smell damp or moldy. Access felt secure: only registered guests could enter the building, and the men's and women's floors had separate key access, apart from the shared area. Everyone had a locker big enough for a medium suitcase and backpack, with space for clothes and a pair of shoes. Check-in was through a machine using a confirmation number and passport scan, though staff could help. Free items included a toothbrush, razors, cotton buds, and slippers that looked cheap but were durable. From CTS (Chitose Airport), bus #88 goes to Sapporo City Centre. Get off at Susukino and walk about 5 minutes. There are lots of girly bars in the area, but I wouldn't call it a red-light district. People around there at night seemed decent and weren't pushy or grabby. I stayed two nights. At 3,800yen/night, it's a real deal for solo travelers who don't want to spend much on a place to sleep. The price was almost the same on booking platforms, and you pay at check-in anyway. This Capsule Hotel should pay me commission!
