Daiwa Roynet Hotel Sapporo Susukino

It’s easy to get a taxi from the main road right in front of the hotel. The location is strategic, near a good area but not too crowded or noisy. Walk left from the main entrance for 15 minutes and you’ll reach the famous Cocono Susukino. There are great sushi places opposite, and a 7-11 right below the hotel for snacks and drinks late at night, so you don’t need to put on a thick jacket and head outside. The room was clean and comfortable, with soft, comfortable bedding. We expected it to be small, and it was. Still a good place to stay.

We’re here for a week and have stayed at their other branches in Tokyo and Osaka before, so we chose them again in Hokkaido. The staff are friendly and easy to talk to. I also like that they reduce unnecessary waste from disposable items to help the earth. Highly recommended. There’s a 7-11 connected to the hotel lift lobby too.

The room’s small, but it’s arranged so well that it feels roomier than at other hotels in Japan. The location is perfect, right by the metro blue line. Take that to Odori Stn or Sapporo Stn instead of the Namboku line, the green line.

For the price, it was okay. The bathroom had plenty of space, though the room itself felt small. One thing to watch: the 'make up room' magnet has to be on the door before 10am. We put ours out at 10.30, and they didn't clean the room.
