The location is fantastic, right inside the biggest shopping street, and our room stayed very quiet from outside noise at night. The problem was a rhythmic buzzing inside the room every night, coming from either several outlets or one of the windows, and it made falling asleep difficult. We've stayed in other Dormy Inns, and this one felt a bit weaker, which I guess makes sense since it's the Annex. The onsen was okay, but men had more options than women. There also wasn't a place to relax after the onsen and just chill or read mangas. The men's onsen was right next to the first-floor reception, where people were always coming and going.

The breakfast line was crazy long at 7am, and the food was mediocre. The Onsen says tattoos aren't allowed, but no one told me at check-in. I only found the notice at the bottom of a page on the website and then on the door between the dressing room and Onsen. I went in anyway since I was already naked. They don't provide towels at the Onsen, so you have to bring yours from the room.

The main advantage is the location. Since it's the annex, the rooms are smaller, and you have to cross a busy pedestrian mall to reach the main building. The price is more affordable and reasonable, as long as you know what to expect.
