The owner was the worst part. There’s no reception, and when I explained why I couldn’t stay and asked for a refund after leaving the apartment right away, I was insulted as a racist and got a terrible response. I’ve never experienced behaviour that inappropriate. The corridors and apartment smelled horrible. The place was dirty and old, and the smell made me dizzy. Other reviews mentioned mold, and I can’t recommend it at all. If you want a pleasant trip without bad smells, an overpriced apartment, or insults, don’t go there.

Check the cancellation terms carefully if your plans might change. We booked three nights through Agoda, ref:1317916025. The surroundings were so-so and the bed was too small for two, so we asked the host whether we could switch to another room and pay extra. They said it was full, which was understandable. We then requested a refund for just two nights, since we had checked in on the first night even though we didn’t end up staying there. The host told us to contact Agoda. I checked the cancellation terms and found nothing, but the host never refunded us.

The room was cozy and had everything needed, even for a longer stay. It’s an eight-minute walk to the centre and Susukino station. Check-in and checkout are self-service, and the host was really friendly and helpful.

Everything was organised and clean, and we had all we needed. We slept really well during our four nights, with the centre only a few minutes away. I’d book this apartment again when I’m back in Sapporo.
