For 4300 yen per night after New Year’s, the price seemed reasonable, and I booked directly through the hotel website. The hotel isn’t near downtown, but I was happy with my room and its shower. I picked a room with a high-spec PC, but there was no way to change the computer’s language. You have to leave your room key whenever you go out, though the staff are always there, so that wasn’t a worry. I’d suggest bringing your own lotion and cleaning supplies.
It’s a nice lower or mid-budget hotel not far from central Sapporo. From Sapporo station you can get there by subway, or take a taxi for about ten minutes. The staff are friendly and helpful. Checking in in English is fine, but the booking site says English-speaking staff are available, and their English was very basic. Anything beyond simple questions might be difficult. I left my toiletries case behind at checkout by mistake, with an expensive bottle of aftershave and an electric toothbrush inside. I emailed the hotel, and they sent it to me by courier the next day without any trouble. I’ve no complaints and will definitely stay here next time I visit Sapporo.
We were traveling as a family and only used the room to sleep, so the small size, which is normal for a business hotel in Japan, didn’t bother us much. The location near the subway was nice, but parking was limited. The recommended lot was a bit far away.
Breakfast was included, and being near Ōdōri Park was a plus. The beds weren’t very comfortable, and the room felt a little cramped. It’s a lower-end business hotel, okay for what it is. Japan has better places to offer at any price range.
The staff were warm and happy to help, and the location works especially well if you're a doctor visiting Sapporo University Hospital.
