Room 103 had the open air bath, and the accommodation itself was very tidy and modern. The room and amenities were fantastic, and we made good use of the unlimited snacks and drinks. We had a car and a parking spot right in front of the hotel, so the distance from the main town wasn’t a problem. The drawbacks were the meal options and the lack of English-speaking staff. At $850CAD a night for two people, I feel the dining course should be included. Breakfast only starts at 8AM, so bear that in mind if you plan an early checkout.

The glasses-wearing man at the hotel made this my worst travel experience in Japan. It was snowing, and he watched me and the driver carry my luggage while I stayed under the eaves. When I checked out, he didn’t touch my bags either. There was no hospitality. The breakfast was quite tasty, but the beef at dinner was very poor, with no fragrance, and it didn’t look very fresh.

The town is really cute, and you can walk everywhere. Our room was so clean and tidy, with unlimited snacks and drinks. This stay went beyond what we expected and ended up being the highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!

The food brought to the room was creative and delicious, and the shuttle was quite handy given how far the hotel is from town. The indoor onsen was the reason I booked, and it was beautiful, well maintained and convenient. Staff spoke very little English but did make an effort to communicate. A great stay!
