I liked the idea of having my own apartment in Japan, and the room was quite nice. There’s free communal laundry in the building, and service through the Line app was prompt and great. Walking from the stations takes a little while, but it gets manageable once you know the route. I had a good experience staying here on my last trip to Sapporo.

I’d emailed the day before as instructed, but they said my message hadn’t come through. I was supposed to rent a parking space, yet the police were called over illegal parking, and my car ended up covered in tape and stained. The person at the phone desk couldn’t reach me and gave up. The bathroom was dirty too. I’d be better off just booking a cheap hotel.

We were six and had a great time in this very nice room. It looked renovated and was clean. The metro is a 10-minute walk away and the JR station takes 15 minutes on foot. There’s a Lawson 200 m away.

The host was gracious and sorted out what we needed in time. It’s a warm, cozy place that’s well maintained and has all the necessary amenities. Happy to come back!

The bathroom vent was full of dust, and it set off our allergies. The place was quite untidy and far from the city center.
