The location was good, the room was nice, and there were tasty snacks to buy. I stayed about five days in December and most of the staff were really nice, though a couple weren’t so welcoming to foreigners. One woman working the morning of Sunday, December 22nd 2024, was especially rude when I asked for an extra room card. The Santa gentleman, on the other hand, was very sweet. Without those few unpleasant encounters, I’d have given the place five stars. Some staff need better manners or replacing.

There are buses from the hotel to a few ski resorts, though the ride takes quite a while. Bankei ski resort should be the closest to the city. The lobby has lots of tables and chairs where you can sit with your travel friends, have food or drinks, and relax. You can buy drinks and simple snacks there, or bring your own. Just tidy your table when you’re done so other guests can use the space. A great hotel for a reasonable price.

The location worked really well for exploring the city center, and I liked the design of both the lobby and the rooms. The rooms felt more spacious than the Tokyo chain hotel we’d stayed in before. The shower setup was the most interesting one I’ve come across in a hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.

The washroom was clean, and getting a ¥1000 breakfast allowance for the convenience store was a nice touch. The female staff member was pleasant, but a male employee who seemed to be the manager came across as unkind and unwelcoming. The furniture looked a bit dated, with visible stains, and the carpet flooring made the place feel old.
