The bedsheets and pillows were covered in hair and black stuff, and clearly hadn’t been washed. There weren’t enough toothbrushes or any clean towels. We all got rashes through the night, so I had to go out and buy sheets to cover the bed. Why have a washing machine and dryer if you don’t use them? Don’t stay here. It’s disgusting. Check-in was a mess, too. They ignored our emails, and we couldn’t reach the property through Agoda or Booking.com. We waited about an hour in the cold while the online “receptionist,” who seemed to be a South East Asian lady, said she couldn’t contact her team to approve us. The place is near the train station, but traffic noise continued all night with the windows shut. It would have kept us awake even without the filthy sheets. Listing a place with such poor hygiene standards feels like a way to scam people.

There’s a security camera in the living room, and the owner’s attitude was terrible. The bed is so small you can hardly turn over, there’s nowhere for luggage, and they didn’t provide toiletries, so I had to go buy them. There’s only one toilet, which makes this a poor choice for a group of six or more. Staying at this guesthouse was the biggest mistake of my trip. Rejected!

I found this affordable guesthouse online for a ski trip, but the booking was inexplicably canceled later. Booking again online cost me an extra 20,000 yen. If you’re into skiing and considering this place, I strongly advise against booking it.

We stayed here as a group of five for a training camp. It was inexpensive per person, clean, and close to the station, so I had no complaints. We had a good time picking up Hokkaido ingredients at the nearby supermarket and cooking together.
