Quintessa Hotel Sasebo

On a recent work trip, I had a fantastic stay at the Quintessa in Sasebo. The lobby restaurant served lovely food, including a breakfast with both eastern and western dishes. My room was comfortable and had all the amenities I needed. The staff were so welcoming and helpful that I couldn't have made the trip such a success without them.

Those little free extras in the room felt like a thoughtful bonus. The staff were friendly, polite, and genuinely nice, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, a nice place to unwind after a long day. Breakfast was fresh and tasty every morning, and the hours were convenient enough that I never had to rush out of bed early to eat. You can tell they look after the place. I really enjoyed staying here.

There were lots of loud Americans at night, though that's probably more about the location than the hotel itself. What bothered me more was booking online and then being told at arrival I had to pay 25% extra because there were two of us. I've never had that happen before. We'd paid for the room, and it was a double, so you'd expect it to be for two people.

The free breakfast had a good range of local dishes and familiar Western choices. My room was spotless, comfortable, and well maintained, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and ready to help. I had a great stay at the Quintessa Hotel and would definitely come back. It was a nice mix of comfort and hospitality.
