Inari Ryokan

The futon was comfortable and I slept soundly. The owner was thoughtful throughout, and even though we arrived late, they made sure the ladies could bathe without trouble. The rooms and toilets were very clean, and the hallways were heated, so I wasn't cold going to the toilet in the middle of the night.

At Inari Ryokan, I found the room clean and relaxing, and the staff were very kind. The food was delicious too, so I was really satisfied with the stay.

The walk behind the property reaches rice fields, a little stream, and a spot that feels like a cool highland resort. On a clear day you can see the mountains. Inside, everything was cleaned right into the corners. The futon felt so good, and then I saw on the way out that they were airing the ones from empty rooms in the sun. No wonder it had that comforting, familiar feel. The large refrigerator, washing machine, and dryer were a real plus.

The free washer and dryer were a surprise, and the room has a handy two-door fridge-freezer. It's a Japanese-style room with Wi-Fi you can use freely. Shin-Sayama Station is about 700m away, though a taxi costs just one coin fare. I paid 4950 yen for room-only. Dinner and breakfast are available, and the bath might be a hot spring, not sure. Nearby there are Matsuya, a handmade udon shop, Lotteria, Kourakuen, and FamilyMart. By the station you'll find McDonald's, Gyoza no Manshu, Lawson, and Igariya.
