Kakunodate Guest House Choux

We stayed here twice in two years, with two other families. There are four bunk beds, eight beds total, and the space was roomier than I expected. I liked having a plug and light at each bed, plus thin curtains that kept the lights from bothering anyone else. The beds are a little firm, but I slept fine. The colour-changing LED lights were a big hit with the kids. The living area and kitchen were great, and the place was super clean. With a grocery store right across the street, we had fun making breakfast in the morning. The owner is a warm, wonderful host. She set up the projector so the kids could play games on a huge wall, and the hosts were very helpful with ideas for walks in town or out in nature. They also rent electric bikes, so next time I want to try riding to Tazawa lake.

Having the whole dorm to myself was handy, but honestly the first night was a little creepy, hahaha. This is my second night, so wish me luck! The mall with a supermarket is only a one-minute walk away, which is super convenient.

The price was great, and I had everything I needed to be comfortable. The place was clean and nicely updated, and the owner was really nice. It’s a little farther from the tourist spots than I would’ve liked, but a bit of walking should be fine if you don’t mind it.

Niceeeeeeeee place, very comfortable and convenient. It can sleep up to eight people.
