Henn na Hotel Premier Sendai Kokubuncho

I had to leave because there was a shocking amount of dark mold on the window frame, and the bathroom reeked of it too. The sides of the tub weren't sealed, so water ran onto the floor, which had no drain, unless I was very careful. Mold affects my health, and I couldn't risk moving to another room in case it was moldy too and made me very sick. The location is great and the room was spacious. Everything else was normal. If they'd fix the mold and tub, I could give it 4/5.

The room felt big for a business hotel, and it had an LG styler. Check-in was self-service, with funny animations playing in the background. It's a modern hotel right in the middle of the shopping street, so everything you need is nearby. There’s no parking at the hotel, but cheap overnight parking is easy to find close by.

Even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door, staff left fresh towels in a bag on the handle, which was a thoughtful, guest-oriented touch. We really enjoyed the Henn-na Hotel. The rooms are modern and extremely clean, and the warm welcome and service from the moment we arrived made the stay memorable. Thanks for such a pleasant visit!

I was skeptical at first since unmanned hotels aren't usually my thing, but check-in went smoothly and storing our four bags before check-in was no problem. I paid 9k yen per night for a double room for two nights, which felt like really good value. The room was clean and modern, and bigger than other business hotel rooms, even compared with Sotetsu fresa. The bed and room were a good size for two people. I also liked having an LG stylus for my coat and jackets. There aren't many amenities in the lobby, like cleansing oil or face wash. It feels as if the hotel cuts costs wherever it can, but for what I paid, I was happy overall.
