Hotel Eldia Luxury Sendai

The room had water leaking from the air conditioner, and there was hair from the previous guest on both the bath towels and in the tub. The front desk staff were rude and cut me off mid-conversation. At night, bugs filled the outdoor bath, so I couldn't use it, and VOD was unavailable because of maintenance. Room service even came inside the front door. For what it cost, the service and facilities weren't worth it.

I came back after about six months because I remembered my last stay, in a second-floor room, as clean. This time was a spontaneous trip to Sendai. The hotel's location is convenient, a decent distance from both the highway exit and the city center, but room 406 changed my mind about staying again. It smelled strongly of cigarettes as soon as I entered. I wondered why they didn't just switch on the air purifier, but its tank had mold growing in it. The bathroom was quite old, and the tub's bottom was peeling. Water leaked from the showerhead, the pressure was weak, and the temperature dropped sharply whenever someone used hot water in a nearby room, above or below. Having to open the bedroom door and walk all the way to the entrance to reach the toilet was inconvenient. The hairdryer and other amenities were clean, so no complaints there. Still, around 12,000 yen for a Saturday night felt a little expensive. I'll choose somewhere else next time.

My wife and I stopped here during a trip, but the cigarette smell hit us as soon as we entered the room and made us want to cancel. The mold growing in the air purifier's tank was unpleasant, too. We don't think we'll stay here again.

I was here for business, and the room had a raised floor and even some manga. The room and bath were comfortable, and the value was amazing. Membership was free and came with two free food items and two drinks, which were surprisingly tasty. It's definitely better than those cramped, expensive business hotel chains. Dust was tricky to wipe up, and the corners don't work well with a vacuum, so I gave the room a quick clean myself. Such a naughty mother-in-law (lol). I was watching episode 30 of Abarenbou Shogun 9, and Yoshikazu Ebisu showed up as Kato-chan in Hagure Keiji Junjoha (lol).
