Hotel Sealuck Pal Sendai

Really good!

I had plenty of room in the bedroom, and the big desk made it comfortable to do some remote work. The bed was large too, and I slept incredibly well. For the price, the included breakfast buffet is a real draw, with fresh croissants, curry, and local fish cakes. The spacious parking lot was easy to use as well. Some parts of the room and bathroom show their age, but everything was clean enough that it didn't bother me. If you value space, affordability, and good value over newer facilities, I recommend it for solo travelers with cars or families carrying lots of luggage. Spend the money you save on sightseeing in Sendai!

I was unsure about booking a low-cost business hotel in what looked like a love hotel district, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The clean rooms, useful facilities, roomy bathroom, and breakfast buffet were as good as what I've had at pricier business hotels. There were lots of thoughtful details: free parking, a comfortable sofa bed mattress, the ceiling-mounted nanoe air purifier, two wireless chargers, and plenty of power outlets in useful places. I liked the sliding door between the room and bathroom, the 300 yen alcohol bar, and the Balmuda toaster at breakfast too. I was concerned the low room price could mean poor working conditions for the staff, but there were a few things I could do myself, and I was glad to help. The chair layout in the breakfast area took me back to the pandemic, which made me feel nostalgic as I sat down. If you're driving to Sendai, I highly recommend staying here.

Booking directly worked out great. The service was excellent, the room was clean and comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. It was good value, and I'd definitely stay again.
