Friendly staff and a good location make this a nice hostel, especially if you want to stay a little away from the places most tourists head to. The main station is about a 20 minute walk, and several other main sights are fairly close. It’s an old wooden building, so the floors creak. There are two showers and both Western and Japanese style toilets. My shared room was warm, but still comfortable enough to sleep in.

The beds are really comfortable, and the staff do a great job of making your stay feel special. It’s also an easy place to meet people from Japan and elsewhere. The location is pretty good, near the party district and lots of great restaurants. Buses get you to the station in a few minutes, or you can walk and take in the city. There are only two showers, so waiting can be inconvenient at busy times. On the plus side, you might end up chatting with whoever’s in the dining room while you wait.

The dorm is a lovely, open room with tatami flooring, and the guesthouse has a cozy feel overall. There’s a small, homey common room and a pretty large bar. The staff were extremely friendly and made the stay even better. It’s right in the middle of things: about 15 minutes on foot from the train station, and roughly another 15 from the main tourist spots on the other side. The main street for drinks and socializing is around five minutes away. Fantastic guesthouse, staff, and location. Highly recommend.

The guesthouse felt cozy and homey, and the staff were so nice. Other guests were friendly too, which made the place feel welcoming. I had a great experience and would recommend it to anyone staying in Sendai.

There’s plenty to eat nearby, plus a convenience store right on the corner, and the hostel has a good kitchen, laundry, and Wi-Fi. The atmosphere is really nice, and the staff are lovely. It’s a short walk to the JR station, with some sightseeing spots close by if you don’t want to walk all the way there. I’d definitely recommend staying here.
