Hotel Keihan Sendai

The room was modern, clean and roomy, with a bedside control panel for the lights. The toilet and shower are separate, which kept things convenient and tidy. We had a seven-seat car, so the parking next door wasn’t an option for us. The hotel gave us a coupon to park near the station instead. Check-in took a while because I’d booked six rooms together, and the staff couldn’t help enter the information for us.

The staff were polite, and the cleanliness was obvious as soon as I walked in. I don’t think I’ve ever seen sheets that clean. The hotel is an affordable choice and well worth the price. Our room was clean and had its own Wi-Fi password. There’s a screen for adjusting the air conditioning and lights, as well as setting Do Not Disturb. If you want the room cleaned, you can request it with a button on the screen. An outdoor shopping mall with stores, places to eat and a movie theater is less than a five-minute walk away. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Sendai.

The staff were friendly and happy to suggest places around the city, and there are lots of nearby places to eat. It’s also easy to find and close to the station. We didn’t try breakfast, though it looked good. The room had useful storage and a small desk, and felt more spacious than rooms at many Japanese hotels. It was clean and modern. We’d make this our regular choice on future Sendai trips.

The staff pointed me toward local specialties and told me where to find them. They were friendly, and helped when I found the virtual check-in system a little confusing. The hotel is very close to Sendai Station. It smelled nice and was very clean, and the room felt like a good size for Japan, especially coming from the US.
