The grounds were clean and well equipped, but getting around was a hassle. Although the park is on campus, there are lots of stairs between the parking lot and the rooms, which makes moving big suitcases, strollers, or wheelchairs inconvenient. Checkout is required by 9 AM, and the mix of self check-in and manual check-in is baffling. I wouldn't recommend this for older people with mobility issues, children, or families bringing a lot of luggage. It seems better suited to sports fans and backpacking groups.

We came as five adults with two small dogs. Tohoku doesn't have many pet-friendly places, and this one is a bit far from the station, but it was very clean, had a large bath, and provided plenty of dog amenities. It made for a great stay. Finding the entrance was a little confusing, and check-in was tricky too. Luckily, other guests explained how things worked and were a big help. We ordered meals through Uber and picked up food at a nearby convenience store. Although the place can sleep five, the bedding is two double beds plus bunk beds. We wished there had been an extra comforter or blanket.

There wasn't a game that Thursday night, but the place had guests in other rooms. I wondered if they were ordinary visitors. Children and adults were practicing baseball at the stadium that evening. From our room the view was great, and it was quiet. The parking lot was spacious and empty, which was nice. We bought dinner supplies at the nearby supermarket, convenience store, and liquor store. The room was clean, with a kitchen and a roomy, comfortable living area. The rooftop is shared, with tables where you can sit outside. The only downside was having to enter a PIN in three different places to reach the room. That could be hard for kids and older people who have trouble remembering numbers. Otherwise, it was fine.

The guest room had a regular bed and a bunk bed, and both mattresses were comfortable. It was very quiet, so I slept well, though we did get hit by a magnitude 3 earthquake, lol. You can watch TV from the bathroom, and free coffee is available, but there's no sugar or milk. Finding the entrance is a little tricky, so check the photo for directions. The parking ticket lets you enter and leave as often as you like for free. There's a stamp machine where you need to stamp the ticket yourself. Keep in mind the door locks automatically, so you'll need two combinations. When there's no game, it's a cheaper option. I'd definitely stay here again.
