Nice forest views from the sunny outdoor section, and the bath and rotemburo make this a solid day-trip option. The water was fine, if nothing special. The facilities seemed fairly new, and there’s a free locker for bags. Just note that only a small towel is available to rent, not a large one. I’d come back if I’m in town again.

The dinner and breakfast were both delicious and enormous, so arrive hungry. My mother and I also really liked the new private bath and semi-private dining rooms. I’d wanted to try a ryokan in Sakunami for ages, and picked Yunohara because the photos looked peaceful and scenic. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very kind. Their bus to and from the station was a big help. Some Japanese would be useful, though at least two staff members could speak a little English and helped us. I’d recommend it for a classic ryokan stay. My mother loved the beauty of Tohoku here. Thank you very much！

I first came in 2019 and met the owner(s), then returned in 2023. Still amazing. It’s a welcoming place for tourists, with a relaxing atmosphere and a wonderful onsen. Great choice for a day trip if you want to visit an onsen.

The day-use bath is 1200 yen. It’s a simple hot spring with circulation and disinfection, and I could smell chlorine.
