My bag was stolen from the shared space, and the staff showed little concern. The woman at the front desk in particular was dismissive and made me feel like a burden. The air conditioning in my room was broken, and the dining room was uncomfortably cold, so meals were unpleasant too. A ryokan should feel caring and hospitable, but I felt neglected and unwelcome here. One of the worst experiences I've had. Absolutely not recommended.

Inside, the hotel is very nice, though it looks rather bleak from outside. The staff were friendly, and the place was equipped for young children. The onsen is hot. My only complaint is that the 100 yen per person per night bath tax wasn't mentioned when I booked, though it wasn't a big deal.

The staff were friendly and the hotel was comfortable to stay in. Dinner and breakfast were good, served in the room in a set style. The onsen was just so-so, with only one pool in a small area, so it could get crowded when the hotel was full. The onsen water wasn't the best either.

The hotel had good food, great service, and a nice onsen. But they couldn't accommodate a dietary restriction: for a "no seafood" meal, they included bonito flakes in more than one dish.

A little old, but classic, and the food was so good!
