A comfortable, convenient place with a casual feel and a Japanese style spa next door.

I was able to work comfortably in the nice workation space on the second floor, which is why I chose this inn. But when I worked there in the morning before my bus, I was told there was a fee. It said the space was free for guests, so I’d used it, but apparently it isn’t free after checkout. The room is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and use seems to be allowed after check-in. So unless you stay multiple nights, you can only use it from 3 to 9 p.m. I didn’t feel this was much of a perk for guests. Making it available to guests for longer would help people who want to workation. Thank you for considering it.

The fourth-floor room was clean and had its own hot spring. The location was handy too, near the stone steps and with a convenience store across the road, so I didn’t have to haul my big luggage back and forth. My plans to come with family changed suddenly, and I ended up staying by myself. Two things bothered me. The shower pressure and temperature were both low, which took some getting used to. Also, after I went out on the second day of my three-day, two-night stay, I came back to around eight black bugs, about the size of ladybugs, on the sofa and next to the bed. I picked them up with tissue. Before checkout I saw quite a few more between the window and the shoji screen. I had opened the window at night to enjoy the view, so perhaps they came in then. Without those problems I’d give it five stars. If they can be addressed, I’d definitely stay again.

The hotel is in an excellent spot, but it shuts at 1 a.m. and opens again at 5. I’d gone across the street to buy something at the Lawson and got locked out. Luckily I reached someone and they let me back in. I hadn’t known about the hours, but I’ll definitely return in 2027.
