The staff were incredible when my daughter got sick in the middle of the night. The floor manager and the others on duty could have left us to handle the cleanup, but they helped so much. I'm eternally grateful, and the service deserves six stars if I could give them. The rooms are lovely, recently renovated, and the bathrooms were spotless. I also liked that the lobby still has the feel of the original hotel. Breakfast was really good for the price, especially the miso soup. Thank you again to everyone who helped us! ❤️

I loved looking out at the hillside houses in Shiogama, and being near the station meant I could watch the trains go by and wave to the passengers. Hi!! Bye!! The rooms are spacious, and the Shiogama Shrine and ferry terminal are both around a 10-15 minute walk away.

The staff struck a nice balance between being professional and warm, and there are plenty of sushi places nearby. It's close to the station, too. The building isn't new, but the renovated rooms are comfortable and give the place a central city hotel feel. Breakfast is served in the "Chinese" restaurant, with a choice of Japanese or Western food. My one gripe was the Wi-Fi: the router with the "white dog" logo is out in the hallway, and I couldn't get a signal in my room.
