A romantic setting, delicious food, and service that was the best of the best. The price felt very fair too. EXCELLENT 👍

The food was a real highlight. Dinner is a seafood-focused buffet, with premium items such as abalone and lobster included, along with all-you-can-drink alcohol. I've been to a lot of hotel buffets, and this was probably the highest quality one I've had. The selection is intentionally limited, which gives it a more refined feel. Steak isn't unlimited, each guest gets one serving. You get a ticket when seated and give it to the chef, who brings the steak to your table. It took about 50 minutes on our busy night, so order early. The portion was generous and the tender filet was delicious. The staff were very polite, with the polished manner of a French restaurant. Breakfast was delicious too, including a seafood bowl you can make yourself. Fresh seafood in the morning felt like a special Shirahama treat. My husband and I suddenly felt like having a hot spring bath, so we booked the day before and stayed on Saturday, March 7th. It's a villa-style resort in Shirahama, known for its luxurious buffet. With Rakuten Travel Super Sale coupons and points, the two of us paid about 55,000 yen. Guests that day seemed to be about half couples and half families. There were small children, but they were seated a little farther away, so it wasn't noisy and we could enjoy our meal at our own pace. Each guest room is its own independent villa. Cars can't go past the front desk, so you walk to your room, but even the farthest ones are only a minute or two away. The in-room baths use hot spring water, kept continuously heated, so we could have a quick soak whenever we wanted. It felt like a real luxury. I had a pleasant stay from start to finish.

Dinner's steamed oysters were absolutely delicious, and the sushi was excellent too. The pieces were small, perhaps so guests could sample more dishes, though the balance with the condiments didn't quite work for me. I would've preferred larger pieces, but that's just my personal taste. I was very satisfied with the quality and amount of food at both buffets. At breakfast I made a seafood bowl with large salmon roe, then enjoyed French toast with coffee. The all-you-can-drink selection should especially please people who enjoy alcohol: sparkling wine, red and white wine, sake, and shochu, plus plum wine and highballs. There were two draft beers available, though I don't know if that varies by season. I had high expectations and left very satisfied. I'd definitely stay again!

The buffet was fantastic, with great meat and fish, and I could go on about the food for ages. I think families with children would enjoy it too. I stayed at Blanchette Nanki Shirahama for the first time this year, starting at the beginning of the year. Each guest room is a separate building that you rent entirely, so I only crossed paths with other people when going out to eat. I really liked having that privacy. 😆 My Japanese-style room was spacious, with big windows and an outdoor terrace that made it feel open and airy. It even had a circulating hot spring in the room, so there was no need to go elsewhere or change clothes, lol. Toretore Market was within walking distance, and Shirahama Station wasn't too far, so access seemed easy. It was a wonderful place. 💓
