Seaside Pension Petit Shirahama

The host was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Even with an injured leg, they insisted on carrying my luggage upstairs. The price was very reasonable, and I’d gladly stay again. The location is great, close to convenience stores, 24-hour supermarkets, and the beach. There’s everything you need, including a kitchen, bathtub, and smart toilet, and sleeping on tatami was a unique cultural experience.

The staff were really nice and communication was clear, and the beach and 24-hour supermarket are very close. It’s a cozy, clean beach house where you can cook in the room, with all the kitchen utensils provided, though fish isn’t allowed. You have to make your own futon beds. The floor is very loud underfoot, and sometimes you can hear the floor next door creak too. I’d definitely stay again.

We had a lovely two-night weekend stay, my husband, our two little girls, and me. Our room on the second floor was really nice, more like an apartment, with a small kitchen area, electric stove, a very good-sized fridge, kettle, and roomy dishwashing basin. There was a microwave in the hallway just outside our door. Kitchen utensils were supplied on the first floor, though I couldn’t find spoons, forks, or chopsticks, so we bought those at the 100 yen shop. The basic amenities were provided, including slippers, yukata, soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste, towels, and futon. It’s a short walk to just about everything: the 24-hour supermarket, 100 yen shop, Shirahama bus center, Shirahama beach, restaurants, cafes, post office, foot bath hot spring, fish stall, and taxi services. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

A superb, clean and convenient place where you can cook in your room. It’s really close to the beach, a grocery store, and a laundry place.
