I had a very good stay and highly recommend this place. The owner was kind and helpful, and the food included for the two days was very good. There's a Lawson next door, so drinks and snacks are easy to pick up. The bus terminal is about a five-minute walk away, which makes getting around convenient.

Zao Onsen Ski Resort in Yamagata is really good, but you can't see the monster at the mountain's summit every day. It takes a sunny day with clear visibility. I spent 3800 Japanese Yan and didn't get to see it, which was a little disappointing.

The location is very good, and the room felt cozy. The host was kind and helpful, and the food was excellent with lots of variety. You do have to share the restroom with other guests. Highly recommend.

A lovely stay, with charming rooms and a cool private onsen. The staff were very kind and spoke English and French fluently. It's super inexpensive for what you get. I'll come back without hesitation.

The location is great, but they charge extra for things like the heater, towels, and yukata.
