For JPY 5,800 on 24-Dec, the price felt fair. The hotel was standard quality, with a clean, spacious room, a comfortable large bed, and free breakfast with Japanese and continental options, bread, and coffee. The reception staff were professional and friendly. It was my first stay in a year, yet someone, or maybe the data in the PC, remembered me and my company name and treated me as before. The letdown was the hot water being disabled in the morning, even though it had worked the night before. I wanted to shower before leaving.

A good place for people to gather and spend time together. The space works well as a community spot.

A heads-up if you're sleeping on the bunk beds: my child fell off one while asleep, so watch how you settle in. The rooms apparently all have different wallpaper. Room types include doubles, twins, and Japanese-style dorms for up to six people, with premium rooms too. It seems suited to business or leisure stays, and every room has free high-speed internet. Shiwa Chuo Station is a two-minute walk away. There are 290 free parking spaces, with no reservation needed. Breakfast is a tasty homemade buffet using ingredients straight from the farm. The large public bath closes at 11 PM, but it's small, and training camps can make it crowded, so I used the shower room near my room. There's a convenience store and a restaurant on site. The restaurant is always booked up, so I've never tried it. Reserve ahead. The convenience store has tables where you can eat what you buy, and its farm-direct goods are discounted in the evening. You can also get sushi from Seijiro, a well-known restaurant in Iwate.

The staff were very polite and nice, and breakfast was delicious. I stayed with my children in November last year. Being right by Shiwa Chuo Station made getting around easy, with a convenience store nearby and the restaurants at Ogal available too. It was a really convenient, pleasant hotel, and I'd like to come back.
