The rooms and facilities are nice, and I could sleep well. There’s a sister hotel nearby where you can send luggage to other hotels. Now that we know how check-in works, we’d book again. But after a four-hour journey, the lack of service was frustrating. We only found out on arrival that nobody staffs the hotel. You’re supposed to receive a check-in code, but we hadn’t. The door instructions said to message them on Instagram without giving a username; we found the account and contacted them, only to get an automatic reply saying not to message on Instagram. After I asked about that in the app, they sent the front door and room codes through Instagram.

The beds and shower were okay, and having a washing machine was nice. It’s a self-check-in place with checkout at 10AM, which limits my rating to four at most. There’s also a baseball school nearby, and you can hear them shouting all day and in the morning. Overall, I can’t give it more than four.

The rooms are really nice and clean, with everything you might need, including a microwave and washing machine. They clean every three days, which I actually prefer to having people come into the room daily. There are lots of places to eat within easy walking distance, so food options aren’t a problem.

The room felt spacious and quiet, with two beds plus a tatami area and futons. It had a washing machine, microwave, kettle, and a bathroom drying function for clothes. Check-in was easy, and they provided yukata, amenities, and bottled water. There’s luggage storage at another hotel nearby. The station is a short walk away, with cute cafes around; kirki Kafe and locomani (vegan) were our favorites. I’d definitely stay again.

Our room had a living area with a smart TV, a humidifier, and separate toilet and bath. It was fairly spacious, with two twin beds and a tatami room, and everything was clean and tidy. The four-story hotel is in a small alley near Sunpu Castle, about a 15-minute walk from the train station. Check-in is self-service on a tablet after booking, and you get the details needed to enter your room. There’s also an emergency evacuation staircase, even though it’s a small hotel.
