The upstairs breakfast room has a lovely view, and breakfast itself was very good. The management were friendly and helpful. When I arrived by bicycle, someone was there to show me a shortcut to the escalators so I could avoid repeatedly climbing the front stairs. The hotel was clean and comfortable, though a little hard to find. There are two entrances: one through the shopping arcade, which is easier with luggage, and another from the main road by the car park. The stairs at that entrance take some effort.

For 40usd, I got a room near mt Fuji at a price that felt way too low for the area. It was basic business-hotel accommodation. As long as you just need a roof, hot water, and a bed, you'll be fine.

The staff were cooperative, and the hotel is very close to the station. Breakfast was good quality too.

Handy spot, close to Shimizu Station and the shopping street.
