The room was bright enough, and both the bed and pillows were comfortable, which isn't always the case in budget hotels. Check-in was streamlined, and even leaving bags with a QR code was easy, so the service felt quick and efficient. I prepaid for a late checkout, though you can also arrange that from the TV. The main tower room was dusty, as others have mentioned, and there was no air filter. Nearby, there's a nice coffee shop called Hug Coffee and a delicious curry udon place.
10/10
The staff were nice and well trained, and the hotel gives good quality at an affordable price for a chain. My room was a good size and well supplied according to APA standards. It's on a quiet street, not far from Shizuoka JR station.
10/10
The room was small but thoughtfully laid out, with everything I needed. The bathroom was a bit too small, though manageable, and breakfast could use more variety. Getting in and out was quick and efficient, the staff were very helpful, and the station, restaurants, and bars are all conveniently close.
10/10
A clean, good hotel. The Shizuoka special breakfast was a welcome surprise and really superb.
10/10
The breakfast was excellent, with a great range of Japanese dishes, and both the food and service in the restaurant were excellent. This was our second APA hotel on the trip, and it was also a great one. The rooms are small but excellent, the beds cozy and comfortable, and the linens very clean. The rooms were warm, maybe a little too warm. Bathrooms were clean too.
