The rooms at "Awaji TT House Pacific Over Seas" were clean and comfortable, with roomy bathrooms and toilets. From the window there's a wide view of the sea, which gives the place a resort feel. Breakfast was delicious and generous too.

The room and layout were a real surprise. The Japanese-style room felt new and clean, even the Ryukyu tatami, and the long, low table was easy to use without crowding the space. Since its floor was wood, spills were easy to wipe up too. It was simple and comfortable, and I’d happily come back. I was traveling to Awaji Island for a three-day weekend with my two-year-old, who sleeps poorly and can fall out of bed, so I’d specifically looked for a Japanese-style room. We booked at the last minute and still got a reasonable price. We checked in at night, and I think the staff member was also working as a waiter at an izakaya, which made me a little nervous at first. They were kind and showed us around carefully, though. Sorry I was so nervous, lol.
The breakfast had lots of choices and left me very satisfied. The room was a nice size, and while I was only there to sleep, it was perfectly fine. The air conditioning worked well, too. The attached BBQ was full, and I was worried I’d miss dinner. The staff were very courteous and flexible, letting me try again later. A spot opened up in the end and they got in touch right away, so I could eat around dusk at a nice time. Even this time of year, the terrace had a pleasant breeze and didn’t feel hot at all.
The Japanese breakfast was easy to share with my child, and the grilled fish was especially helpful. The front desk staff and the people serving breakfast were all really kind. The renovated hotel was very clean, and the room had stylish decor. I usually choose ryokans, but I’d definitely come back here. Each room has its own entrance, so you can leave your shoes outside and keep a clear line between indoors and outdoors. My child is too young for slippers, so being able to walk barefoot made things much easier. I’d feel fine bringing a baby who’s crawling, too. The bathroom felt just like home, with the tub and shower separate, and the sink and toilet in their own spaces. I find it inconvenient when a hotel puts the toilet, sink, and bath together. Adults might be fine with a shower, but kids like to soak, and I could bathe with my child without any trouble. My one-year-old wasn’t charged extra, but they still provided bath and face towels and a toothbrush. I hadn’t ordered breakfast for my child, yet they brought tea and children’s tableware as well. That was so generous.
From my room, the sea stretched out in front of me, and on a clear day you could see as far as Osaka. The view was spectacular. The outside of the building looked a little weathered, probably from the salty sea air, but inside everything had been thoroughly renovated. The soft lighting gave the room a lovely feel. I’d booked a six-tatami Japanese-style room without an ocean view, but since it was off-season, the staff offered me a beautiful Western-style room facing the sea that happened to be available that day. I was so happy with that kind gesture. 😂
