With a microwave and oven in the room, it feels easy to stay here just like at home. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom and toilet are separate, and it’s close to convenience stores and Sumoto city center. It’s a great fit for a longer stay. One note when booking: I’d recommend not using a travel website.

The place was very clean and nice, and the location was great. The BBQ was the one problem. We set up on a balcony-like area but had to stop because there was no ventilation. Opening the door even briefly let in enough smoke to set off the fire alarm. I wish there’d been a guide explaining how to use the BBQ and what to do with the trash.

We stayed one night with our family of four and grandma after finding this place online. We’d considered some well-known inns, but picked this one because it was affordable and easy. The toilets, rooms, and bathrooms were clean. We cooked for ourselves using the rice cooker, induction stove, cookware, kettle, toaster, microwave, and refrigerator. Aeon was nearby, so we bought some delicious sashimi. There was also a breakwater just a five-minute walk away. Our boys, aged eight and three, tried fishing for the first time and caught a jack mackerel and a 20-centimeter mackerel, which we fried for dinner. We had a great meal surrounded by the unusual food we’d made ourselves, though the knives were so dull it was hard to fillet the fish.

There was a lot of hair from the previous guests on the futon and sheets, and I found hair on the plates as well. The knife still had sugar stuck to it that hadn’t been rinsed off. They charged 5,900 yen for cleaning, but the place hadn’t been cleaned properly. Really disappointing.
