The room felt relaxing, with plenty of space and a city view. We also loved the rooftop onsen in winter. We only stayed one night, but the friendly staff made it a great visit. We don't speak the language, and they still did their best to communicate with us. We really appreciated their effort and kindness.

For the price, getting a roomy Japanese-style room with a lake view was a great deal. The 7th-floor open-air onsen was wonderful in winter, maybe especially then. Dinner was a hectic, crowded buffet, which wasn't the pleasant sit-down meal I had expected, though the food itself was generally good.

The room for three was huge, with a lake view that reached Shimosuwa, and the bath area on the top floor had a perfect view. Meals were included in our plan and were great. The hotel is about 100 meters from Lake Suwa and a seven-minute walk from the train station. I'd stay here again if I come back to Lake Suwa in summer. Great service and facilities, too.

The rooftop onsen has a lovely view over the lake, and the staff were friendly. It closes at 10:30 pm, though, and the bath on the first floor was pretty bad.

The staff are nice, and there's an outdoor sauna on the roof with a view. Parts of the hotel do seem run-down, though.
