Hotel Route Inn Suwa Inter

This was the most run-down hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s so old that you have to use a physical key to lock and unlock the door, and the bathroom felt like one from a mobile home. My tour arranged the stay, so I couldn’t choose. If you get a say, stay somewhere else.

The hotel is split across two blocks on opposite sides of the road. The rooms are quite small, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby, so it’s very convenient.

The room was comfortable and the air conditioning felt just right. The real key, which you use both inside and outside, was unusual. I wish they’d served more fruit at breakfast.

The large public bath, restaurant, and free breakfast buffet are all standard features, and they make for a reassuring stay. I’ve been coming here as a Route Inn customer for 21 years, and the service still feels dependable. I look forward to staying here again. This Route Inn is near Suwa Interchange. There’s another Route Inn across the street, while this one has been here longer. Its steel room keys aren’t electronic, which brings back memories.
