For about $100 CAD, this felt like a steal. The room was so good I’d have paid twice as much. Everything seemed new and spotless, from the comfortable beds to the bathroom with a bidet toilet, shower and tub, hair dryer, and laundry-drying machine. They also supplied toothbrushes and a hair brush. The AC had lots of settings to choose from. There’s parking for around ten cars, and it was empty when I arrived. I don’t think there are many foreign tourists in Suwa, and I hadn’t seen one myself. Check-in is through a lobby tablet, followed by a short video call with an operator who asks to see your passport. A convenience store is a couple of minutes away on foot. Great stay, and I’d do it again.
