Breakfast was pretty decent. I stayed for just one night.

Dinner was a highlight, especially the private room and the beautifully prepared kaiseki. The dishes looked lovely and came in generous portions, so arrive hungry. Nakai-san served each course at just the right time. The inn feels historic, with a quiet, soothing atmosphere. Parking on site was roomy and easy to use, and getting checked in and settled in the room went smoothly. I stayed over New Year's and would happily return on another trip to Suwa. It’s a great fit if you want good food and hot springs in a peaceful setting. Thank you.

We were five in the family on our first visit, and would stay again. The lobby was spacious and a nice place to relax. Our room didn’t face Lake Suwa, but it was roomy and clean, and both the bathroom and toilet were spotless. The meal was tasty, and having a private dining room meant we didn’t have to worry about bothering anyone. The public bath isn’t especially big, though the indoor and open-air baths and changing area were all very clean. They even had ice cream for after the soak. The two smoking areas were clean too.
