Suzuka Royal Hotel

It was quiet at night and easy to relax, even though the hotel feels a bit old. I liked the deep bathtub for easing tiredness. A 24-hour supermarket is about a five-minute drive away. There's no ice maker, so you'll need to buy ice there if you want some.

What stood out was how clean and comfortable the hotel felt despite its age. The service was kind too: breakfast bread and drinks, a welcome highball on the house, and coffee available anytime. There was a free washing machine, a coffee maker in the room, and a microwave on every floor. Aeon Mall and Aeon Town are nearby. Aeon Town also has a hot spring if you want a soak. There's no shopping within walking distance, so having a car helps, though Aeon is there if you need it. I was a little concerned about parking after reading other reviews, but I found a space and could park right beside it. I went in and out several times, and even as the cars and spaces changed, I could still find a spot. There are trees along the front of the lot, and some spaces sit directly in front of them. Even with vans on both sides, a 3-number size sedan can fit, but getting into some spaces takes skill. There's a ramp, though most spaces still require you to get over the sidewalk steps, which might be tricky in a low-slung car. I'd use the parking lot again if I were in the area.

I was here about two and a half months ago. It has an older feel, but I found it really comfortable. There's parking, and the front desk staff gave me bread when I checked in. They also gave me a free highball!

The staff are amazing, and the historic building and facilities are kept clean. It's also conveniently close to the circuit.
